Flocare has marketed Scalewatcher for over 10 years in Southern Africa.   Our main activity has been the introduction of the principle to the Industrial market for such applications as:----

Cooling Towers

Cooling Circuits and Heat Exchangers

Air Compressors

Spray Systems.

Scalewatcher was originally developed for the domestic market, many hundreds are in use in the UK.    Eskom has recently targeted the need to save electricity in the home and has  highlighted the Geyser as representing the significant culprit of waste as a low efficiency user of electric power particularly if the elements are subject to scale build-up.

New Develpments.

• A new look to the analogue display and switch enclosure which is now IP65 making weatherproof a standard.

• A flow calibrated 4-20mA output is now available  provided with the local mechanical display of flow rate plus a microswitch back-up if desired.

• The analogue signal can be converted in an electronic display to give flowrate, reset batch flow and total flow.   This display can be integral with the meter or can be wired for remote mounting.

Site developments 

1. The introduction of a Bargain list of units that are available at a special price.

2. The Flowpoints Spinner unit is available as a screwed or flanged unit.  It is available in Bronze up to 1 inch and in Cast Steel and Stainless Steel up to 8 inch.

3. Rhodes now have the popular model 400 spinner unit in Gunmetal and SS with an alternative of a ball instead of the spinner.
